Please tell us about your smoking Thursday. Cathy, it's my pleasure to lead off the boards when I have time. It's always great when someone leads us off. So, you, BobF and others are welcome.
Maybe Megan is slipping into being a social smoker as opposed to a social smoker going into addiction. The biggest thing I'm seeing is giving daily smoking a try and then dropped off and not smoking.
That's what Amy at work seems to be doing. When the pack she bound ran out, she said she would not smoke again. We'll have to see. Once you let it be known that you smoke, it seems people will provide cigarettes rather than let you quit on your own.
Charlotte, it seems the position on your daughter starting smoking at 18 is pretty universal. Our girls team has a single playoff game with a strong team about an hour away tonight.
My son's team will launch a playoff series with one game Friday night at our ballpark, and 2 Saturday at the opponent's location. The game should be tough for both our teams. The whole town is excited. It's not the football frenzy but they are excited.
I had a cigarette yesterday after practice with Debbie, who lives behind us. Lacy, her 12-year-old has become the hostess for youth smoking. Debbie said her oldest daughter, Laine, was smoking when they bought the house.
Lacy now admits Laine got her introduced to cigarettes. Cassie, the next girl, seemed to have gotten introduced by the older kids here.
Debbie said she smokes 2 or 3 a day now, usually 1 with little Lacy. She said she hardly smoked from the time they left this town when she was 12 until they moved back.
So, please tell us about your smoking Thursday.
