In reply to: Susan 's message, "Please tell us about your smoking Thursday" on 06:15:22 04/27/06 Thu

Morning. Since we have let our 14-year-old daughter smoke under our controls, I've gotten to know the mother of a another smoker a lot better. This mom also has a daughter who turned 14 in the past few months.
The lady said her mom, the grandmother of the child, was the first to give her daughter cigarettes. The lady said she hoped her daughter is more like her and never lets smoking be a serious addiction. She said her mother is 55 and has been smoking 45 years.
I said wow, telling her I grew up in a smoking family and took up smoking at the age of 13. I told her my parents have since quit smoking. She said her mother still does not see any reason where she should quit smoking. In fact, she does not see any reason why her daughter does not join the smokers.
