Subject: Mother Megan's Monologue on Wednesday in Marble Falls

You can't tell the players without a scorecard but it's my opinion that Boyd, Walt, and Big Marv all use steroids. Jane's son does not.

Even before the the boys game started the girls were off to celebrate victory. Since Walt was starting the boys' game, Teresa, his mother, and Ann, the mother of Boyd, shared one cigar with the adults at the party and came to see our game.
Walt, who likes my Jessica, got the win. It was his first varsity win and only his second victory of the season. He staked us to a 7-0 lead before leaving. Jane's son, once the second pitcher, was ineffective but the bats were not. With no outs and the score 7-6, Big Marv tripled landing with a hairy slide. We did a safety squeeze and Marv did not go. We stole second without a throw. They walked a guy with 2 outs to face Boyd who had hit a home run and struck out twice. By now, Neely and Darla were back. Boyd hit a grand slam home run to put us up 11-6.
Starters can come back into the game in high school so Walt came back to get the final 3 outs.
Neely was great pitching but we nearly blew the scoreless game in the top of the 7th. Darla made a great backup on a throw at first and chased down and tagged the advancing runner just before a runner from third scored.
Guess she has a little wind left.
Hillary, the good girl who went bad, bad, bad Friday was at the boys game with her brother Zac, now dating Charlotte, and Michelle, the gf of Boyd. The girls wore out a path to the car.
With Neely batting and Darla on first and Laurel on third and 2 out in the bottom of the seventh, Darla took off for second. As soon as the throw came, Darla turned back as Laurel raced across the plate with the only winning run.
The news from the party Lauren hosted for the girls is that some of the underclass women did not smoke at all. The moms did their cigars separately from the girls. Darla and Laurel chained cigarettes and Neely had a cigar.
When we got home, I took Laura, Laurel's little sister home. She stayed with Lisa to be sheltered from the party. My husband said the 12-year-old girls went outside about 6 times, probably smoking each time.
