The girls won in 2 games today. After running over their opponents Thursday, they lost 1-0 in the first game. The opponents put it a different pitcher today and she had the secret.
They were lucky and we had some bad calls. All's well that ends well. We led 15-0 when they got in enough innings to apply the 10-run rule.
Same pitcher, about 90 minutes later. In the first game today, which was the second in the playoff series, the ump called Laurel out at first. If she was safe, we would have tied the game and probably had momentum.
When the ump called her out, she said the S word which is cause for ejection. Alyson, a senior who has not played much, came in at second. Alyson started the second game. The coach made such a point about smarting off to an ump, she even let Alyson bat second. With a runner on, Alison jacked it out and the rout was on. Darla and Neely followed with homers.
The poor pitcher needed a batting helmet for the second game.
We needed to hold the team in the last inning and Laurel did come in at second. Alison moved to third.
I smoked on the way and bought Jessica a pack of Marlboro Lights. She requested them. We each smoked 3. Lisa decided to go to the game and rode with Lauren, Laurel and Laura's mother. They too Alexis, who Lisa had been with, along.
There's not a whole lot of disclipline in that family. As soon as they arrived at the game, the girls split for a hiding place to smoke.
Jess found Michelle and Charlotte, the girl next door, and they went off to smoke. I'm not sure these 14-year-olds look like college girls but they felt right at home.
After the games, the team had lunch in the college cafeteria. We went to a hangout across from campus.
There we saw Hillary and Kelli, also a senior from the track team, there smoking. Kelli is not at all experienced. I smoked at the restaurant.
Jess and I had 3 each on the way home. Lisa rode with Laurel and then slipped outside to smoke. No questions were asked.
