Subject: Karts safety rules

Karts - There are a few things I need to address this week due to safety. As the week goes on I will be adding things. Here is a start.

1. There will be a designated parking area for all karts. It will be located against the pit road wall between turn 4 and the flagstand.
2. No karts will be allowed to drive in the pit area. They must push the kart onto pit road and return to pit road after leaving the racing surface. It can then be pushed back to their respected pit area. NO DRIVING ALLOWED IN THE PITS.
3. No intentional contact will be tolerated (no bumping). The track will make all calls on this and their decision is final.
4. When the caution comes out everyone must reduce their speed immediately. You do NOT try to catch the field before slowing as someone may need immediate attention.
5. Everyone must sign a "waiver of liability" agreement in the registration office when you sign in.
6. We may have "roll call" during the driver's meeting.
7. Anyone not abiding by these rules will not be allowed on the racing surface and may be asked to leave.
8. No one is allowed to race above the cones. The cones represent an imaginary line that we consider the "wall". If you go above the cones you have made contact with the wall and will be black flagged.
9. Once you are black flagged you will NOT be scored for the remainder of the race.
10. There is no discussion on safety and these rules can not be contested.
