Rules state "Rear compartment to trunk must be sealed". This would refer to the rear firewall of the drivers compartment for cars that are not boxed in. We want the firewall sealed from the drivers compartment in an effort to keep fuel from entering the drivers area in the event of a crash. You are not required to run a rear bumper cover or enclose the rear between the quarter panels. This change on the rear is made in an effort to help those that are running both dirt and asphalt.
