What some fail to remember is at the time Cordele was paved, asphalt racing was growing all over the country. Some dirt tracks were losing participants & attendance due to the sudden interest in the asphalt racing.
It goes in cycles...Agreeing with 02, if your a dirt racer then go enjoy racing at Albany, Cochran, Waycross, Lake City or Phenix City & I'll keep participating & supporting the ONE asphalt track in south Ga that has withstood the test of time.
