Not sure which class you are running but a good place to start would be the Steve Smith Autosports series of books. I have read and in some cases reread most of the books he has published. There are other more advanced books out there that are also really good but I would start with the SSA books. They break things down into easily understandable terms and are very helpful for a beginner. Before the house fire I had most of them, they are worth buying.

Regardles to what publication you choose to read, try to get a firm understanding of the relationships between different parts and how they affect one another. Too many people get caught up trying to copy the FAST car and fail to realize that it is a combination of ALL things working together that achieves the desired result.

Hope that helps you,
Scooter49
