Subject: Sharaud Curry update - it's getting late.

The good news does not extend to junior guard Sharaud Curry. His foot was examined on Monday and he’s still complaining of soreness from a stress fracture that was discovered nearly 13 weeks ago. The original prognosis called for a recovery of 8 to 12 weeks, but for now he’ll remain in a protective walking boot.

Welsh said Curry has not ruled out a comeback this season. If he plays in any game the rest of this season, however, he’d lose the right to apply for a medical red-shirt.

“Until he’s ready to practice, there’s no decision to make,” said Welsh. “We want to get him pain-free and he’s not there yet.”
