Subject: Corey Chandler out tonight with stress fracture - could miss a couple weeks?

Rutgers freshman Corey Chandler has been grounded by a foot injury.

The explosive guard, who was averaging 14.1 points and dropped 23 points on top-ranked North Carolina Sunday, will miss at least one week and possibly longer for what is believed to be a stress fracture to his right foot.

"We're looking probably at 7-10 days and it will be evaluated daily," Rutgers coach Fred Hill said. "He's got some swelling and bruising. It's going to be one of those things — how much pain can he tolerate and when can he go?"

Chandler will not play against Rider tonight and is doubtful for next Saturday's game against Manhattan.
