oh & I'm curious to know how you know what their current playlist even is? They haven't even been on a full week yet? For example did you know that they are playing Chuck Berry as I'm speaking here?

As for listening from the start I've been a WCBS listen from the start too & I remember well them playing big band #'s (you know from the 40's) & my mother would tell you that without that they're not really "oldies" because to her that's what oldies are! At the start of WCBS they billed themselves as oldies they included stuff that would have been "oldies" to her because she was the adult audience at the time! If they have big band numbers do you think that is going to be played by 30 somethings now? What is new to you is "oldies" to the 30 somethings now! If they play stuff that they're grandmothers were listening too the listeners really will drop off & THAT's how they'll fail!
