hmmm nice to meet you too. Sorry I'm not a walking dictionary & yes with real life going on around me here I wouldn't be stopping to find the "spell check" either. Speaking of spewing venom & your snotty comments - Bitter? No I'm not bitter I just think that we should give the rebuilding of WCBS a chance before the self proclaimed pessimist start bashing it & telling those of us who are clebrating that we're "compromising" I've already said what I think of Charlie & those like him. If they don't like what's being played & they feel listening to WCBS is a "compromise" for them they should just not listen, but why come here & rain on everyone else parade? We're all estatic that WCBS is back. And yes I do feel that those that support Sirus & XM radio do so to the demise of free radio. But as long as they're enjoying themselves well that's all that matters right?

I too have fond memories of WCBS radio and have mentioned them many times to those who were having rational conversations & enjoying the show from yesterday & last night. I've been a listener since I was a kid and they were still playing stuff from the 40's mixed in. I could have done without the bickering of Harry & Mr. G in the AM's I had enough of that with the teens I was dealing with daily at the time. I still however listened of course while getting kids off to school & such. It goes without saying I certainly would have taken that over Jack too. If it wasn't bad enough that Jack was a recorded drone the drone's voice was snarky on top of it. I imagine like me many realize the importance of the on-air personalities however we also have to realize that nothing in life stays the same & as much as it stinks that's just a part of life. DJ's doing a job some day are going to retire & some will even pass away etc it's life & it happens & nothing stays exactly the same. While I'm sure they want to bring back the exact same onair personalities as when they left the air waves 2 years ago it's probably just impossible to do. People will have other contractual obligations & other will be retired etc. It's not going to be exactly the same & again that's life. But to sit here & bad mouth the new personalities they've brought on board doesn't help & it's not going to change things & instead perhaps we should all just give them a chance to make their own spot here on WCBS? As far as Q104 I use to listen to them too but in reality during the WCBS break when I was listening to radio in the car I was back to switching around all the time. Like you I've a wide range of musical tastes & in the right setting I even like the reggae & R&B etc. Can't take it too long but raggae while on an island can be fun.
