Part of why I resented Jack is because it treaded on what I considered sacred ground. That and the general attitude the format put forth. Not all the music was bad, but too much "now" stuff for my tastes. Kvetch all you want, but at least WCBS'07 hasn't decided that the '90s is a "classic" period, and is sticking to decades from when music was GOOD. (FYI, I consider the '90s to be the start of when popular music jumped the shark, and eventually culminated in the pop princess, boy band, rap, etc. etc. atmosphere we have today)
