The FCC does not allow HD or IBOC (in band on channel) signals to transmit that signal on AM at night.

This matter is being debated at the commission. The technology is being operated under temporary experimental authority.

The FCC is expected to rule on nighttime operation next Thursday at their monthly meeting.
