i recorded Don K. Reed's final night of the Doowop Shop which aired, i think, on 8/25/02?? for my parents..i felt so horrible that that specific programming was being cut off and i just had to save it for them, for ol' times sake..JUST last week I re-played it for my best pal, in my car, for ol' times sake..(we met through the demise of 101.1 cbs.fm -ironic but true) and we listened whole heartedly to the jingles, the commercials..the calls that were coming into Don K..that final night..we sighed-we talked about how great it would be if the dj's had a chance to, at least, say a final GOODBYE..We chatted about that fateful day when the rug was pulled out from under them and us..and NOW..to our delight..the station that i grew up with is returning..and hopefully this great panel of folks who i grew up listening to..will make their triumphant return, to say HELLO!!..including Don K~~..bye bye Jack, you were no friend o' mine...:)
