Subject: Just Curious

In Bill Brown's final words before the "Jack" launch, he intros "Rescue Me". However, "Summer Wind" was the last song played.

I guess even though the DJ's weren't informed until minutes prior o the format change, Brown was a good sport and didn't actually let the audience know of the pending change (though you hear his frustration).

My question, did the station continue to play "Greatest Hits" format for a short time( minutes) after Brown signed off?

I remember listenening to CBS that day in my office, and turned the radio off at approximatly 3:45pm, and I still had no hint what was to come.

Was anyone listening when the Jack swiitch was made?
