I'm not making a case for Jack. I'm telling you why oldies were dropped and why they haven't come back.

WFAN had a smaller overall audience than WCBS-FM. WFAN generated significantly more advertising dollars.

If there was a station that had 10 million teenage listeners, it wouldn't be an effective vehicle to sell subscriptions to the Wall Street Journal. They're not going to buy that product. That Journal ad money would be much better spent on a news station with 500,000 listeners.
