Alan, here's the setup I have. My car is a 2000 Ford Taurus, and of course satellite radio wasn't on the air then. I added a Kenwood FM modulator to the radio already in the car. The FM radio is tuned to 88.3, the Kenwood is turned on and presto, Sirius! That might be another option for you to consider. About a year ago, I added a home receiver to my A/V system. Total cost is about $20 per month, $12.95 for my first subscription (car) and $6.99 for the second (home). That breaks down to about 65 cents a day! You can't buy a cup of coffee, a gallon of gas, or even a ride on the NYC subway that cheap! The enjoyment I get is priceless!

One other fact about Sirius car installations; among car brands that offer a choice of either service, Sirius is chosen by 60% of those buyers. I don't know if you've seen the TV spot, but Sirius is being offered at no extra charge with a free 3-year subscription on the 2006 Mercury Mountaineer.
