Many criticize Drake for taking the personality out of top 40 radio however his Boss Radio approach on KHJ in Los Angeles resulted in two of my favorite jocks. Robert W Morgan and the Real Don Steele.

Even though they were never heard in New York, they said and did a lot n a few seconds in between the records and posting the hits too.

Shadoe Stevens who worked at WRKO once told me that even though he never met Bill Drake, he learned how to do everything he had to do on the air in 10 seconds.
