Just another reason I won't bother with HD radio. It's owned by the same cartel that took away CBS-FM. They'll just keep "modernizing" it. If I want 80s music, XM and Sirius have dedicated channels for that. I'm sure there are internet stations featuring the 80s as well. Who needs CBS-FM HD? I couldn't care less!

CBS-FMs identity was 50s, 60s and 70s hits. From 2001-2005, they kept trying to program to a market that didn't want them and alienated the market that built the station. I don't think they were trying to cultivate a new market for oldies. I firmly believe CBS's goal was to destroy the greatest New York radio station ever.

Oldies music isn't dead. The iconic radio station that played the greatest hits of all time is gone.
