The problem is that in today's radio environment the investors and the people that bought so many stations for an incredibly high price want a quick return on their investment.

The other problem is that many decisions about programming are being made by people who are not radio oriented in their thinking. They would not know what to do if they walked into a radio station and had to run a board or do production or pull an air shift.

I'm not against saving money but it should be done for the right reasons. Jack was done for the wrong reasons and although they did save money by not having to pay salaries for great talent and union fees, they ultimately lost money in the end. We could have told them that two years ago.

I'll never forget when the former CEO of CBS Radio told Ted David on CNBC that "$30 million was not enough. All I can say is Wow. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. People would kill for even a small percent of that figure.

Anyway goodbye forever, Jack.
