Subject: Idea for a gathering on June 3rd or 4th

I am thinking of holding a little get together for former WCBS-FM enthusiasts on June 3rd (Saturday) or June 4th (Sunday) to commemorate the anniversary of the worst format change in American radio history.

I think a location at a restaurant in midtown Manhattan would be the most convenient for most people. Alan Berman’s idea for a tribute at the Museum of Television and Radio is certainly very good, but there would be a lot of red tape involved in planning such an event.

I would need some consensus from the people on this folder

1. How many people may be interested. If there are enough people who may want to go, I will plan something.
2. Which day is better, Saturday or Sunday? Is any specific time better?
3. Any ideas for restaurants. I am not familiar with any restaurants in the Midtown area. I am thinking of something relatively inexpensive (less than $20 per person)
4. Any other thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.


To avoid cluttering this board, please respond to me at BruceS8852@aol.com . I will summarize the consensus to the folder at a later date. I don’t think I would have to make definite plans until a month before.

I arranged two successful gatherings for the WCBS-FM AOL folders in past.
