On an interview on CNBC Joel Hollander said that the switch to Jack was a stealth operation. They were afraid that if they gave notice another NYC station would have switched to Jack before 101.1 FM did. If the format change were done with some dignity and class, I would have at least sampled it. Before June 3rd, I did sample some Jack stations on the web. 101.1 FM may have become my 3rd or 4th broadcast station, but I never listen to it. There are other problems on 101.1 FM Jack such as the music mix and the obnoxious Howard Cogan.
