I feel as though I'm living in the Twilight Zone. Amazing to not be able to go through the radio dial and find a station that plays more than just one song at a time that I enjoy. I'll hear one great song and the next will be so awful that I'm hunting again for another station. I remember being at the rally last June and having 96.7 representatives swooping down on us like they were vultures. They threw tee-shirts and little trinkets at us like we were animals at a zoo. I admit that I actually began to turn to their station for a taste of "my" music and it helped to fill some of the emptiness I felt by the loss of WCBSFM. But what I found highly annoying and arrogant was 96.7's DJs constantly bragging that they were "PROUD TO BE THE ONLY OLDIES STATION" as though they'd done something wonderful to earn that honor. I thought they shouldn't be so smug about their "status" of being the ONLY oldies station and they'd better watch their backs because the same thing could happen to them. And now it has. They've been cut loose and I am not sorry for them. I'm sorry for me and for all of us who now have nowhere to go on FM to find music that we love.
