I was a big fan of CBS FM from day one, but to me the station died about 6 or 7 years ago. In recent years KOOL 96.7 and KB Buffalo were that I was listening to, with CBS FM being the third preset. And now the other two stations met a similar fate. My gut feeling is that if NYC were to get another oldies station, there would be no doo wop, very little early sixties and alot of 70's and 80's. Unfortunately we will never again see a station as good as CBS FM in it's glory days. "Oldies" is considered a taboo word in the radio industry. I listen to Sirius and my cds and I do enjoy this board.
