Subject: My Own Take....

on this One Year Anniversary of "the day the music died, part 2"....

Be that as it may:
When it first happened, I was probably one of the STRONGEST (and LOUDEST) in the "why did it happen" camp; now, after one year, I am accepting what happened and moving on. Thank goodness for Cablevision's Music Choice channels and for great CDs--it doesn't take the place of guys like Bobby Jay, Bob Shannon, or Don K. Reed, but at least it brings back "some of the greatest memories of my life", as Bobby likes to say.

I have been reading the posts of the last several days about the anniversary, and about how one person is tryin to tell everybody else to "get a life" (I TOTALLY disagreed with the way he came across). The point--no matter where we were Saturday or where we are in terms of our feelings on what happened or where we were "the day the music died again" -- that for 33 years we had this SUPER incredible station with SUPER incredible jocks and for that, we are forever blessed and forever grateful and forever thankful.

My hope on this one-year anniversary? That the guys who are STILL not working will ALL be working WAY BEFORE the next anniversary comes around. And that we ALWAYS remember the GREAT times that we've all had through this incredible station, this incredible music, the GREAT jocks, and the GREATEST listeners in the GREATEST city in the world!!

Peace!!
Andrea
