This is sad. I was told by someone in the business a few weeks ago that they might go religion on WRLL in Chicago.

I realize that religious radio is a license to print money especially if you sell the time for brokered shows, etc. but this does not need to happen in Chicago.

Besides the signal problems being high up on the AM dial where some radios do not go, having a competitor on FM doing Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel did not help the matter.

The days of people just dialing around and finding a station without proper promotion and awareness are over especially with all the other sources to get music and information besides regular over the air radio available to the audience.

I'm sorry to see Real Oldies go in Chicago. I will miss listening online to Larry Lujack and Tommy Edwards. They are great together and are true radio legends.
