Thank you for actually saying that you seemingly understand a Steve Green post :-)

Every so often I snot off on a topic, every now and then I make a little joke, and a lot of times I ask questions (I've been away from radio for some time now but like to keep up).

Question from here tonight is:

Does the WABC 77 Saturday switch to Oldies mean nothing more than potentially increased income for that time slot?

If so, a converse question would be 'Why such a hard-to-sell demo, and a MUSIC demo at that?'

As I said in an earlier post, I'm not critiquing the entity itself. It'll air one way or another and tread or flop or prevail or expand or tweak without any welcomed help from me. And I've worked Saturday nights the past 15 years, a lot of it in a car with a radio, so this added radio choice is wonderful. I'm really looking forward to it, as WABC is a better signal in these parts than 'KB.

Still, there have to be a few who are reasoning along the lines of '... WABC ... O&O ... WPLJ ... test run ... why come crashing back with Oldies on FM right away before seeing what kind of initial ink this puppy gets ...
That's all another topic, I know. But a few of those oldies acts mentioned by Andrea would do the whole We Want Our Oldies movement a positive turn by making plans to show up in the WABC studio on some Saturday Night.
