Well, I GET WMTR in BROOKLYN! and they are FABULOUS!! Just to bring you neophytes in a little bit, you got the Golden Gup (kind of like a cross between Max Kinkel, Bob Shannon, and Bobby Jay, with a touch of Don K Reed thrown in), you got M.K. (if Clear Channel's own Valerie Smaldone became an oldies jock, this is what SHE would sound like), at night you got Tony Dee (whose connections with Max Kinkel and Dan Ingram are A-MA-ZING!!), and to make it even more interesting, on the WEEKENDS you got Shadow Traffic's very own Pete Tauriello doin a show; and that's just a few of them! And in the mornings, you got 'MTR's OWN Chris Edwards, who's like Dan Taylor after one or two cups of coffee, but good!
Listen, all I know is this: I would rather listen to 'MTR (who GETS it on the oldies/doowopp thing--one morning, Chris played "I'm Not a Juvenile Delinquent"--need I say more?) then have to hear one more round of totally unnecessary humor from B103's Wizeman and Frank (although their "interview" last June 12 with Bobby Jay and Don K. Reed was FABULOUS!! Wizeman and Frank basically shut up and let Bobby and Don "run" things--GREAT decision!)
