I agree with Doug. He has good insight into how society functions. The things he mentioned are in fact related, including his being fired. All of the events have one common thread, and that is attitude. Attitude and respect towards older age groups is the core issue here Mike.

In the short term, WCBS's format change may have been a result of pressure from their sponsors, or desire to get additinal advertising revenue. But it ultimately ties in to societal attitudes as a whole. There is no way to separate these issues.
