There is a station at 1520 in Mineola, New York on Long Island so that is out. There are stations at 1510 in New London, Conn. and Boston. As far as 1530 is concerned, I do not know of any station on that frequency besides a 50,000 station in Cincinatti but there is a 50,000 station in Albany, New York at 1540 that has to be protected. The big difference between Buffalo and NY is that Buffalo has another oldies station. and the people of Buffalo are being served. The only reason we care about KB in New York is because of its good siginal and it helped fill the void of the loss of CBS-FM. The move by KB to put on Talk instead of oldies was still a bad move and it was because of poor ratings and to save money. CBS-FM had good ratings and they were making money. My advise to NY oldies fans is to do the next best thing is to listen oldies on line at various stations websites or internet radio stations or get XM or Sirus Radio. WOGL is now on line and you can listen to it on their website.
