I also said that WOGL did not drop oldies because Philadelphia already had a Jack station and New York did not. The real reason Infinity dumped oldies on CBS-FM was to make a big splash. They should not have dropped oldies on CBS-FM. They should have put Jack on one of their other stations like WNEW or K-Rock but if they did that, who would have noticed? If they did that we would not be talking about this 8 months later on this board. I do not think Infinity thought Jack would fail in NY like it has. A very bad move by Infinity to drop oldies on CBS-FM.
