The main purpose of WNYH is to sell brokered time. In other words anyone that wants to go on the air and can afford the costs associated with doing that in the case of 740 on Long Island can purchase blocks of airtime during the day. The oldies are being played during times that they have not filled with interested people that want to go on the air over there.

You might also hear country and standards from time to time on 740.

As far as the station in Toronto is concerned, that is an adult standards radio station. The call letters are CHWO.

I visited the facility in Toronto a couple of years ago. I think they are a great radio station. I wish something like that existed here but that's another topic and really has nothing to do with WCBS FM or this board.
