Not meaning to look a gift shift in the mouth, but how far back does this notion go? Anyone know? Was it borne of the WCBS-FM change?

Weekends chronologically represent 28% of the week's air time. Some stations might do well to daypart, or weekpart, to clutch a few diary mentions those two days. Music in general is one gambit; Oldies in particular definitely cannot hurt. Considering the plethora of holiday weekends and the general getaway anticipation, it's both surprising as well as a disgrace that more than a full one-quarter of the blank diary pages have been neglected, while the wingtips fall all over themselves looking for theat M-F 9-to-5 audience.

WABC is gangbusters here in NE PA. GREAT addition to the car radio pre-sets on Saturdays.
