This comment brought a smile to my face. It is exactly this sort of old fashioned thinking that has made other agencies flounder and has made mine prosper well beyond my expectations.

I deal with demographics and market trend prediction for a living and I have struggled to keep up with societal changes. Todays market is not the same as even five years ago. My competitors have continued to subscribe to the dated belief that older consumers are rigid in their thinking and unresponsive to ads and it has hurt their business.

The baby boomer generation has dissolved all of the old marketing stereotypes. We frequently joke about this at the office, about the fifty year old teenagers that is. It will be interesting to see what happens in another half decade.

Despite our apparent disagreement, I am enjoying the dialog about this topic.
