Subject: Tonight's WABC Oldies Program

I really enjoyed the oldies program tonight. I especially liked the old WABC jingles.

Admittedly, a part of the enjoyment was the nostalgia factor. More than that however is the fact that oldies music is great! It stands on its own merits, not simply as a reminder of "better days" of our youth.

WABC had a good thing going in the 60's and early 70's. Even if I was 52 years old back then (as I am now), I'd still would have listened to it. Good music is good at any age.

By the way, I don't feel that the best parts of my life are behind me, nor do I miss my youth. Memories are nice but I live for the future.
