First of all I am 54 years old. I have been listening to music since I was 8 years old. The first record I bought was Way down Yonder in New Orleons by Freddy Cannon which I still have on Swan Records. Although I would like to have some of the Old jocks from CBS-FM such as Bob Shannon, Dan Ingram along with Cousin Brucie and Norm N.Nite who are now with Sirus I would listen to a new oldies station in New York even without my CBS-FM favorites. Since 6/3/05 I have been listening to out of town oldies stations on there Websites with other jocks, many of them I have never heard of before. It does not matter to me if the station is on AM or FM as long if its oldies and is done right. However, I think many people would compare a new oldies station to CBS-FM in its heyday and that would be unfair. There will never be another CBS-FM. As long as can listen to my favorite oldies I will be happy.
