Besides WABC, I was really into the "Top 40" WBAB in the spring and summer of 1972. And just as WABC ran Palisades Park spots in the 1960s, WBAB used to run spots for Rockaway Playland back in 1972.

I also listened to WHLI a lot in 1975, when it had its hybrid Top 40/Oldies format. WNBC came into the picture for me in 1978.

In the case of WBAB and WNBC, I "discovered" these stations because the bus driver who took me to and from school had these stations on during the ride.
