Okay, here's a fun and pointless excercise:

If you were stranded for life on a deserted island (and let's just assume that the island has an unlimited electrical power source), what 5 movies would you want with you?

Mine would be (in no particular order):

Star Wars-The Empire Strikes Back (a nearly perfect movie)
O Brother Where Art Thou? (never get tired of seeing this one)
Magnolia (so deep and then there's that whole thing with the frogs)
Office Space (a very funny movie with flair)
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (I never thought I'd see Jim Carrey playing a character I could identify with so personally)

Dan, I've started to post my top 5 about 8 times now, but I can't decide what it would be! If I base the list on the time-tested classics that I can watch repeatedly without stabbing the TV, this would be the list:

The Red Violin
The Princess Bride
Star Wars (the original set, or just Return of the Jedi if you're being a stickler)
To Each His Own (classic b/w melodrama with Oscar-winning Olivia di Havilland in the lead role)
Pirates of the Caribbean (what can I say--it's Johnny Depp!)

Top 5 in somewhat of a particular order (and of course subject to change)
1) Casablanca
2) Rear Window
3) Fight Club
4) The Big Lebowski
and (edging out Cast Away)
5) Cable Guy

No Johnny Depp... and sorry Dan... no Bollywood Classics
