Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd, the seventies - What mem'ries...

Syd Barrett was the prime (or maybe even primal) force behind the Genesis of Pink Floyd, then he fried his brain with drugs - one of the first big stars to do it. Listen to "Wish You Were Here", and you'll hear the remainder of the band singing to Syd.

When Dan wrote Reach Haven Postcard, he showed us he could drop down into humanity and live like we do. "Wish You Were Here."

How many Dan fans out there received a postcard with a sailing ship upon it from another Dan fan, and on the back was written, "I wish you were here." -?-

Myself, I got three in the first week the CD was released and another two months later. The final one was mailed about the same time as the first three, but a mail-forwarding error resulted in slow delivery by the U.S. Postal Service.
