Marvin, I did a google search and an alta vista search. Zero results. But if you say that's your name, it's OK with me. The following, with lyrics in italics and my additions in standard pring, is my take on the lyrics of Reach Haven Postcard:
* * * * * * * * * * * * * *
The first breath of autumn
blows through the trees
--It's Maine, and it's autumn
--the birches have just begun turning ("The Reach"-1980)
And the nights are getting long and growing colder
--Winter's upon us, and I've got no heat here ("Old Tennessee"-1974)
And the maples are turning
--the birches have just begun turning ("The Reach"-1980)
and the fields have gone brown
--End of October, the sleepy brown woods
--seem to nod down their heads to the winter("Old Tennessee"-1974)
And the waves against the shore
make such a sad sound
-- As the waves crash and fall
--And the Reach like a siren sings ("The Reach"-1980)
Now there's a meal on the table and a fire in the stove.
--Now she learns to cook the meals
--And she learns to start the fire ("Go Down Easy"-1985)
And a candle burning brightly by the stairway.
And a lamp by the window
-- The candles glistened and the water gleamed
-- She drew a bath and the windows steamed ("Beggars Game"-1979)
that shines out to sea
--Burning like a beacon on the edges of our sight ("Nexus"-1981)
--Trim my sails to greet the breaking morning
--Past the headlands to the rolling, open sea ("Song of the Sea"-1990)
And I wish so much tonight that you were here with me.
-- Ooooo, oooo, I'm missing you ("Missing You"-1982)
Now the moon is in danger of running aground
As she sweeps the tattered clouds
above the island
-- There's a ring around the moon tonight
-- And a chill in the air
-- And a fire in the stars that hang so near
-- so near ("The Passage"-1980)
And the stars lay like diamonds
-- up above the world so high
-- like a diamond in the sky ("Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"-traditional)
on the breast of the sea
--Grab me, woman, take me under, `til I can't tell up from down
--We have barely got our feet wet, now I want to drown. ("Shallow Rivers"-1985)
And I wonder where you are and if you're thinking of me
--But if you ever should need a man
--Well, the offer still stands. ("The Last Nail"-1975)
Chorus
Now I've grown accustomed
To having you near
--When you're not near me
--The time don't seem to move as easy ("When You're Not Near Me"-2003)
And I miss you so madly
When you are not here
--Ooooo, oooo, I'm missing you ("Missing You"-1982)
When I think how you love me
Oh it brings me to tears
--They form in my heart,
--but they fall from Anastasia's eyes ("Anastasia's Eyes"-1990)
And I wish so much tonight that you were here with me
-- Ooooo, oooo, I'm missing you {"Missing You"-1982)
Well I dropped you
--find a way to let you go ("Our Last Farewell"-1987)
a postcard today in the mail
--Went to the mailbox in sleet, rain and hail,
--I got one damned postcard today in the mail
--She wrote just one thing, "I know about Michelle"
--"Be gone when I'm back, or your a** is in jail"
.......("Michelle"-Echo and the Bunnymen, 1967)
with a picture of a sailing ship upon it
--Drawing Pictures in the Sand ("Drawing Pictures"-1974)
And I tried to say something
that was clever and clear
-- and our tongues were tired
-- and running out of things to say ("Same Old Lang Syne"-1975)
But the only thing I wrote was that
'I wish you were here'
--Oh, how I wish, how I wish you were here.
--We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl,
--Year after Year
--How I wish you were here ("Wish You Were Here")[Pink Floyd classic]
