The spirit of Elijah is surely/truly to come, but not in one's who point the finger with accusations; this spirit comes to point the finger at sin and to speak forth God's Word to cause the people 'to return' unto God by His Word [Jesus is the Word].
God is merciful, and His mercy endures forever.

Yes, judgment will come, that's why we are to preach the Gospel [the Good News]. God will send His prophets with His Word in their mouths, not to condemn but to save.
"Vengeance is Mine, saith the Lord, I will repay." God is the One who is True and is Just and is the Judge, not us.
We will honor God by honoring His Word.

Before the Son comes a second time, we will see the signs of His coming [the end times events]; but we must not be looking to them and getting into fear, but to trust God - to trust His Word - to look unto the Lord for He is the Author and Finisher of our faith! For His messengers are coming with a roar and with a sword! The Word of God is coming with the sound of the trumpet of that last call! Will we hear/hearken?

Follow the Word and obey Him. Trust in God and He will show you the way.
God is good, blessed be His Name.
