It is quite true that many say they are prophets when they are not, for they themselves have decreed themselves to be rather than God calling them to that position.

And yet, there are those who are called by God who are not accepted by others simply for the message they bring. Truth is truth. It cannot be changed by perspective or understanding while this might change truth's meaning to others. Truth will alway stand as it is: TRUTH. We might get it wrong but truth will never change.

Many will say that they believe that Jesus Christ is a prophet. Strangely enough, Muslims and Christians believe that Jesus is/was a prophet. The Jewish people do not believe this, to my understanding and yet, according to Scripture, He came first for the Jews! Ah, but in all of this God has a plan. Hallelujah!!! The more one comes to read the Bible and fellowship with our Creator, the more understanding is gained. Once we think we know it all then we have made a road block to our spiritual growth. Many think they are being humble but in reality it is a false humility. Oh, wretched things that we are. Lord, have mercy!

And God has shown us great mercy by sending His only begotten Son conceived not by man but by His Spirit and carried in the womb of a woman. Jesus is not a fictional character. History proves that He was born into the world, was crucified, died, was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead three days later. Some people think this is not so, that Jesus did not raise from the dead. We all have our rights to believe what we choose. We do not have the right to be hateful to one another. That is not of God. I can't make someone believe that Jesus is "The Way, The Truth, and The Life." He has proven Himself to be just that in my life. I wish everyone knew Him as I do and I long to know Him even more because He is so wonderful! Christianity was once a religion to me. Now it is not. It is a way of life, a life still with trials but one in which I have great joy, purpose and meaning. But I don't want to argue about Him anymore. He's taught me I don't need to defend Him.

Any way, just wanted to add on to your post.

God bless.
