Heaven or Hell

Dear ones,

In this hour we are hearing many words about judgment coming, the end times, antichrist, the wrath of God, etc., etc. Many are listening intently to these messages, fear rising up in their beings. Some are changing their ways, others are busy pointing their fingers at those they perceive to be the antichrist or who is walking in a bigger sin then they know their own to be. You can almost feel the commotion that is taking place around us. Without a doubt, there is something stirring in the spiritual realm and it is felt upon the earth. I see this mental picture of the Lord on His knees, interceding for the people of the world. Great masses of angels are lined up side by side, with rows behind them, too many to see for their numbers go beyond my vision. They are waiting, waiting for the children of God to enlist them for the purposes of God. Meanwhile, closer to earth is the enemy's camp, busy, busy, busy. There is much chaos here, demons bumping into one another and ugly words being spoken. There is one speaking out, "Bring fear upon the earth!!! Pit brother against brother! Bring confusion and pride to those who call themselves Christians. Get them to follow your biding rather than His (and just at the mention of Jesus, without even using His name, you see satan quiver with hate and disdain!). Oh, if we only knew the battle that goes on daily for our own lives!

While some of these warnings are needful for us, so that we can get back on track and realize that we will not always live upon this earth whether because judgment comes or the natural course of our human bodies meets it’s end. But it should not be the major thing that motivates us to move forward in the things of our Lord. There is a shaking going in within the body of Christ, a stirring to bring us back to Him in truth and purpose. For too long there has been some “stinkin’ thinking’” taking place within the walls of the church and the hearts of God’s people. We have been so focused on our own salvation and the blessings we can receive from God through our Lord Jesus Christ that we have forgotten the Great Commission our Lord gave us to fulfill! Just to refresh our memories, let us read Matthew 28:18:20, “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.‘ Amen” Are we not to be about our Father’s business as did our Lord, Christ Jesus?

John 3:16 shows us the heart of God, “For God so loved the world that He sent His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Hallelujah!!! This is God’s heart towards all mankind. He would that none would perish but come into eternal life through His Son, Christ Jesus. There is only way to our heavenly Father and that is through Jesus (John 14:6). How blessed we are to know Christ Jesus as our Savior, Lord and King.

But what about those who do not know Him? What is their eternal destination? Since no one can come to our heavenly Father except through His Son who is The Life, The Truth, The Life, then there are many out there who need to know God’s Son! And there are many out there who know of Him but do not have a personal relationship with Him. It is our Father’s will that we fulfill the commission that His Son gave us to do. As believers, we are not supposed to be worrying about our own lives but the lives of those who are lost and destined for hell if they do not know Jesus as their Lord. Does not heaven rejoice when one comes to Him, no longer lost but found in Christ Jesus? Hallelujah!!!

Each life is precious before our heavenly Father. Hell was not created for man but it was created for satan and his rebellious crew that followed him. It is a place we should not want for any man, woman or child. Recently books have been written about people’s encounter with hell, speaking of it’s darkness, it’s eternal fire and place of torment. Oh, how our hearts should be so burdened to save the lost souls out there! And these precious people can be found in the church as well as the populace in general. They can be our family members, our fellow workers, that stranger you pass walking down the street. Let us not be so preoccupied with ourselves that we forget them, realizing what their destination is without Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Heaven or hell? One day all mankind will find themselves going to either one of these places. Are our hearts be so filled with our heavenly Father’s love and desires that none should perish that we, too, would give our lives in service to save them from eternal damnation or will we be so concerned about our own welfare that we forget what our Beloved Jesus called us to?

Let us be about our Father’s business while there is still time, in Jesus’ name I pray.

Humbly submitted,
Joan
