Subject: THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

Dear Family in Christ,

In 1992 our daughter wrote an essay for her school assignment. Having come across it, surely by the leading of the Holy Spirit, I would like to share it with you. It comes from the pure heart of a child and in finding it again after these 14 years, it touched my heart again. May you be blessed and reminded of the specialness of this holiday season, a time like no other. From our hearts to yours, Merry, Merry Christmas. May you celebrate it in it's fullness and meaning Christ Jesus be the remembered as "the reason for the season."


“The Meaning of Christmas”

The meaning of Christmas is being with your loved ones. It’s not the presents. It’s not the money you think you have to spend on one specific person.


It’s the joy of being with loved ones. It’s the celebration of Christ and His birth. It’s what brings us together. It’s what takes our mind off badness and let’s us know the real meaning of Christ and how much it means to us. It’s what makes us a family that stops, takes time out of our lives to be as one, at a very special time on earth.


Christmas - a feast celebrating the birth of Christ. Now generally observed on December 25.
