My REAL Story!

When the opportunity came that the delgates in 2003 would be offered smile makeovers, I was excited but scared. I was slow to ask about getting involved because of my anxiety. I knew that the dentists involved would take good care of me but I didn't know if I could handle it. Well at the end, Dr. Curley and I were matched up. I guess it was part of God's plan because it was a perfect match. From the very start, Dr. Curley, Cindy and the rest of the staff took great care of me. They made sure to help ease my worries. At one appointment we ran to the store to get some good smelling essential oils, so I was not bothered by the smell of laser work on my gums. After my final appointment, one of the ladies in Dr. Curley's office took me to lunch. I will share the really story of what happened since I know you are all part of the Globe family if reading this. It was 2:00 and I was fading fast since breakfast had been before 8:00 that morning. So imagine how numb my lips still are. Well, I was starving so I jumped right to Pasta, Nice and soft and easy to chew. Well the drink was the problem. I took a big sip and my upper lip let lose and the soda was now all over the table. So my usual "beauty queen" like manners went right out the door. I was so embarassed. She just asked if I was Ok and we kept visiting. The best part of the whole thing was they loved me just the same. They even had a purse made with my picture on it for marketing purposes. It was soooo cool.

Thanks to Dr. Curley, Cindy and everyone else in the office for taking such good care of me and ALWAYS treating me like a Queen. Your support has meant so much.

Thanks to MAC for such a generous donation to make this program possible.

Thanks to Dave Stollman for sharing your artistic talents, as I wear them everyday.

Thanks to Dr. Norm for getting this whole program off the ground.

Thanks to Tracy and Monica for EVERYTHING you do. And yes, even the things that seem to go unappreciated, that we don't even know you do for us.

Thanks to Spyro for supporting these two incredible women and yes, great smiles, "smile" alike.

Ok so I may be biased but Dr. Curley was my "pick" for dentist of the year and I congratulate the ladies who have the opportunity to work with him in the future.

Cheers to another year of being part of the Globe family and to many more Smiles
