Subject: :-D Greetings from Alaska

Hello everyone! I am so sorry we have not posted for a while, but we have been dealing with ALOT of snow here. We got over 5 feet of snow in about 3-4 weeks time in November. We were hit with 3 snow storms back to back dumping almost between 1 and 2 feet at a time. And of course we don't have a snowblower yet (every store in town is sold out, so we've been shoveling it). I have pictures from the 1st storm but I'm not sure how to post them so you can see. Em is so sick of shoveling. And our electricity goes out frequently and we lose internet service alot, so sometimes it is hard to keep in touch. Congrats to Laura, the state overall winner! And to all the individual state winners too! Just wanted to say hi to everyone. Talk to you all later, Lina

Wow! 5 feet of Snow... I love Winter because of the snow here in Virginia but I don't think we'd function very well with that much. In the last 10 years or so we've had two Blizzards that produced 3-4 feet depending on your elevation. In February of 2002 the blizzard put down enough that we had drifts in our driveway that came up to my shoulders(& I'm 5'9"). It was fun but I wouldn't want to deal with it alot. I mostly like nice snows that make a good Ski Season here. I'm excited this year because I can take my little boy out and try tesaching him to ski also. Stay warm hopefully you'll be able to get a snow blower soon and Em can stop shoveling.
Lots of Love,
Sarah

My goodness that is a lot of snow!! Lat year at this time we had snow in Pennsylvania but none so far (at least where I am)! I hate walking around campus when it is all snowy so I'm very glad that we haven't had any yet. Thank you for the congrats wishes, congrats to Emily and Elizabeth on their titles as well!
xoxo,
Laura
