Lauren Wanger is STUNNING, and this is a great chance to promote the pageant with a gorgeous queen. Let's put together a wish list of things they could do to streamline and promote the pageant!

Numbers may have been down because directors switched hands. I think with the creation of the Miss United States title, more contestants will compete. Some ladies shy away from the Ms. if they are considered a Miss in other systems. Now there is a Miss and Ms option, which I believe will help the system. Lauren Wanger has been making many appearances and keeping her own web site as well. Hopefully this will help the system. We had the best support from the most caring and organized group of women. I would recommend to any woman wanting to enter a pageant.......... this is the one! It has improved with the numbers over the years I just wish it would happen all in the same week at the same place to make it easier on the directors. They would probably get more audience as well with everyone being there to support all 3 or more queens from the same state.

All I have heard is they gave awards for the supermodel event. Anyone there that can give commentary on what the ladies are doing and who are possible standouts?

I heard that two dropped fromo the Woman division so there are only six. Insteasd of having a 5th RU, 4th RU etc. to Queen, they will ALL compete again in finals and all scores will be thrown from prelimins (inc interview). So it will come down to just on stage Q, SS, and gown. Inside sources/contestants, aren't thrilled about this and would prefer that all have a placement. Instead, they are going to have a Q, 1st and 2nd RU and there will be 3 standing w/o placing. Don't like it. On top of that, all the other divisions will call down a top six then recompete and place only the top 3. I'm not crazy about this at all, (NT) -- what is opinion?, 07:58:55 07/31/07 Tue

Subject: Please say a prayer for MS Mississippi's mother. I competed with her good friend in a Mrs pageant and have stayed in contact with her. She is a sweet girl. Suggestion: Another great system is the US Miss system. There is a prelim that you can enter in North Mississippi - Southern US Miss. The director is awesome, super sweet, you will love her. Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, she prides herself in her southern heritage, but loves Arizona and says it now feels like �home�. As Ms. Arizona United States 2006, Kayla hopes to bring awareness to her platform of �Child Abuse Prevention and Education.� She is currently a spokesperson for Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona, a program that mentors children through the use of the Arts such as dance, music and painting. She truly cares about children and really hopes to make a difference. In fact, Kayla loves children so much that she not only volunteers with them, but also works with little girls every day at Girly Girlz Tea and Trinkets. When not working in her volunteer endeavors, Kayla enjoys spending time with friends and family. Realizing that all children are not as fortunate to be surrounded by a large family, she tries to pass along this same love and support into her volunteer work. Having survived poverty, neglect, violence, bullying, and an abduction during her earliest years, Dawn has dedicated her adult life to improving the lives of children. She is grateful to use her crown to reach children and families on a national level. She is a spokesperson for Child Lures Prevention, an organization whose mission is educating children on lures used by sexual predators. �Lures were used on me as a young child, and by God�s grace I survived my experiences. I was the exception.� Dawn is devoted to preventing her history from happening to others. She will tour schools throughout her state and the country educating students on how to recognize common lures, as well as to trust and follow their instincts about people and situations. Dawn is also a facilitator for the National Conference for Community and Justice which promotes understanding and respect among all races, religions and cultures through advocacy, conflict resolution and education. When Ms. United States Woman isn't at schools, you'll find her performing at South Florida's local hotspots, or for weddings and special events. She is known for her soulful ballads, but loves all types of music from disco to country. Her favorite travel destination is Sicily where she recently discovered her living ancestors, and was embraced as a long lost daughter! The experience inspired her to learn Italian to be closer to her new relatives.

A very big thank you to Joy Phelps for all of her hard work at the Mrs. Virginia State pageant. What a dynomite representative she is!!!

We were missing our Judges Chair person this weekend (she had a modeling job that she could not miss, last minute thing I was told) and Jo stepped in and saved the day. Jo I will always remember how kind you were to our delegates and to our staff members.

You are a real asset to the United States System. Dana will be blessed by your williness to promote this system.
