Sounds to me like the sack rule change of '08 had the same type of impact it often does in a real game. A late game sack (or int.), in a huge game, with playoff implications, often determines the outcome (see Steelers game from Sunday). Sorry to you O for the loss, but I would think the excitment of the week was heightened by the fact that the D counted for something. Made a huge FFl game, with major playoff implications, exciting to the end. Better than a blowout that includes two punt returns for 40 points.

Since every teams defense often plays half the game, nice to know they actually count in Fantasy now as well. The old way, why even draft a D? I did not submit the rule change for this year, but I liked that my D actually mattered. I also saw D's drafted earlier amd more D's picked up throughout the year.

Bottom line, we all played by the same rules and won or lost by them. Therefore, rule changes didn't cost anyone a win. Well, in my case they didn't anyway. I just lost because my team sucked.

Regardless of the differing opinions, I look forward to any changes that (hopefully) improve the game. Pro football has evolved, and so has our league -- some of us think that is a good thing.

Just my 2 cents.

Good luck to all playoff participants (especially Petey who again goes for ring #1).

For the rest of us, '09 draft day is only 237 days away (with or without more rule changes)! Woohoo.
