back to the topic at hand:
worked at the Turf Inn in Timonium at age 15. Rob joined me two weeks later on a referral. We went on to be held in high esteem by everyone who worked there from the owner to the cooks chopping vegetables in the basement kitchen.
Dave & Bill worked at Cathay Village, a little chinese restaurant to the north on York Road. Rick Brooks worked there as well. I am pretty sure they had very few rules, as these three often tripped while busing tables, or washing dishes and the table cloths didn't hang much below the edge of the tables.
Dave & Bill knew that Rob & I worked every Saturday Night until 12:30 or so. My parents thought we worked to 2:00AM. So, there was a window of 1.5 hours to fire up four-fingered bags of gold lumbo', drink cold ones, and sit in Rob's fine array of vehicles with the great sound system & stacks of 8-track tapes. This routine was like clockwork, every Saturday, with our boys from up North wandering down to see what we were doing.
The highlight of the night, was heading even farther south to the Timonium Dunkin' Donuts. Four dudes, with slits on their face where eyes would normally appear, powder sugar covering their lips, and the satisfaction of crushing custard-filled eclairs, mulitple donuts, or a 50-pack of munchkins as we headed home to drop off Oz. Unfortunately, this trio often kept it rollin' at Bill's or Rob's house on Deep Dale til the wee hours.

enough said.
[Bill did have a sweet miniature collection.]
